I think you can guess why I have bothered to include this single as a Beatle collaboration. Are you thinking New York,
ABKCO, Rolling Stones, Beatles Financial Advisor ? .... Alan Klein is English and was a member of the New Vaudeville Band. He was also known as "Tristram, the 7th Earl of Cricklewood". In fact, the New Vaudeville Band's second hit single was actually credited to "New Vaudeville Band featuring Tristram" ! If you are familiar with "Winchester Cathedral" and "Finchley Central" you will appreciate that "Honey Pie" is of course perfectly suited to the New Vaudeville style of music, but on this release it failed to chart. Any road up, I thought I'd include this single within JPGR as an interesting curio to make you aware that it is NOT that Allen Klein, and therefore beware of paying over the odds for it.
