Detail :	Side A    Side B END OF THE LINE (Traveling Wilburys) TRAVELING WILBURYS    CONGRATULATIONS (Traveling Wilburys) TRAVELING WILBURYS Second single to be released from the album Travelling Wilburys Volume 1 (Click on the link to see detail of the album). The lead vocal on the A-side is by Tom Petty. The 12" and C.D. version have an extended version of "End Of The Line". The L.P. and single version was 3:30, whereas this extended version is two minutes longer at 5:34. In December 1988 the band shot a video for "End Of The Line" in Los Angeles which was directed by Willy Smax (William McLellan). Sadly Roy Orbison had died before the video was filmed so in his part of the song a poignant shot can be seen of his guitar in a gently rocking chair and a photo of him on the side. Interestingly and fittingly the a-side song featured over the end credits of the final episode of One Foot In The Grave. The B-side has a lead vocal by Bob Dylan. The single was released in four formats, being also released as : W 7637T - 12" single (seen below), with extended version of A-side W 7637TW - Limited Edition 12" single, with extended version of A-side, plus, a free sheet of stickers ! W 7637CD - 3" C.D. single (seen below), has the L.P. versions of both tracks. U.K. Charts 5th March 1989 - The single entered the charts at a lowly 66. 12th March 1989 - Second week and a climb of thirteen places up to number 53 19th March 1989 - Third week in chart and a final climb of just one place up to it's peak position of 52. 26th March 1989 - Fourth week in chart and a drop of nine places down to number 61 2nd April 1989 - Not listed in the Top 100 Chart Progress: 66 - 53 - 52 - 61 - out In June 2007 following the release of Traveling Wilburys Collection, the single re-appeared in the chart for one week on 17th June 2007.
