Detail : | Ringo Starr's first album to be denied a U.K. release, but it is his ninth official solo studio outing. In the old days this would only be listed in the "Imports" section, but in more modern times of globalisation ...... Credited to Ringo Starr Produced by Joe Walsh. Recorded 6th - 16th April, 31st May - 10th June, and 24th June into July 1982 at Ringo's "Startling Studios" in Ascot. The album was initially titled "It Beats Sleep".
The front cover photograph (it says on the sleeve) was, "taken in a photo booth somewhere in Northern England".

The album is also released in Australia, Brazil, Mexico, New Zealand and Japan .. but NOT in Britain or America. Although, four tracks from above do eventually appear in America on the "Starr Struck" C.D. on 24th February 1989.
22nd August 1994, a first C.D. issue on Right Stuff with catalogue number T2-29675 has one bonus track.
The bonus track is an earlier recording of "As Far As We Can Go" (5:33) made in July 1978 in Copenhagen.
This version features the composer, Russ Ballard, on Electric piano plus the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.
At those sessions of 22nd and 23rd July 1978 in the Sweet Silence studios in Copenhagen, Ringo also records the unreleased
tracks,
"She's So In Love", "On The Rebound", and "One Way Love Affair".
