The Ultimate Mystery Trip
Volume Three: The Best Of The Rest
Extended Scenes, Reconstructions and More Outtakes

7 Chapters - total: 64.47
1 I Am The Walrus Distant view to start, then zooms in to be a single view - whole band head on
Quite dull, out of sync, pretty grainy and occasionally out of focus too.
At 3:35 in, there is an outtake of the bus on the bridge, with Ringo looking worried on the coach
At start clapperboard is difficult to read, but could be Slate 69 Take 1 ?
4:54
2 Blue Jay Way Single head shot view with lots of fog
Slate 83 Take 1
4:14
3 Riding With Alf Over 11 minutes of a bizarre use of film as it contains a lot of footage filmed straight through the bus front window and suffers from most road signs either going past too quickly or being out of focus and unreadable anyway.
Plus it appears to be raining the entire time.
Even those that live in England would struggle to identify any landmarks at all.
Also, quite a bit of this footage is shots of the drivers head from all angles, or shots of him playing with his gear stick.
Soundtrack is "Flying" and Mellotron music
11:45
4 Magical Mystical Boy Mostly a bare-chested Mal Evans with film projected onto him.
Towards the end, some pool balls.
Soundtrack is incidental film soundtrack
6:03
5 At The Gentleman's Club Slate 60 Take 1 & Take 2
George and John are seen entering to sit at the front of the audience.
Slate 61 Take 1
The chaps are filmed staring and clapping.
3:03
6 Bonzo Trims Slate 57 Take 2
Over 11 minutes of outtakes of the Bonzo's sequences.
Slate 58 Take 7 - Three Bonzos in white suits up at microphone
Slate 59 Take 1 - Table of Bonzos and dummies seen briefly at the end
An interesting sountrack of Neil Innes discussing MMT and playing some pieces live.
11:42
7 Buster, Jessie & The Crowd About eighteen minutes of Buster & Jessie on the beach
At 59:30 - outtakes of the big crowd scene with fake cheering and laughter.
At 64:30 - The crowd disperse and the "Your Mother Should Know" stairs are seen.
Soundtrack is Paul on the Frost Programme the night after the broadcast (27th December 1967).

5:11
2 I Am The Walrus Slate 70 Take 1
Starts with an old ambulance on the streets.
Then a static angle of George, John at the piano, and Paul on bass. The angle is such that Paul dominates the shot and Ringo is unseen. Paul loses concentration and talks to someone off-screen.
The last part of the song cuts to Ringo asleep on the coach with some other character shots.
4:47

Outtake trims not sequenced with the song that plays in full.
4:00
4 Fish & Chips Slate 50 Take 1 & Take 2

Three minutes of footage outside of a Gents lavatory.

Over 6 minutes and shows John enjoying himself shovelling food.
