Yes, another Let It Be outtake collection, with hardly a thing on it we haven't heard before either. But the slight difference with this set is the "ambient stereo", which actually doesn't hurt. I think it sounds quite good. Still, the jury is out whether this is one you can do without ... if ... you have this stuff elsewhere. The quality of the presentation of this set is really nice. Thick cardboard DVD-sized cover contains thick quality card 24 page booklet in book form, with nice artwork, informative script and the two c.d.'s housed in plastic built-in sleeves within each cover.

1 | Get Back | 28.43 After Paul's laughing Get Back end (heard again on the last track on this set), John sings, "Shoot me when I'm evil, shoot me when I'm good ...... " The coda from this take was edited onto the end of 27.63 to create the single. |

2 | Let It Be | These three tracks are from E.M.I. tape E91743 (picture from booklet above). Unlike the rest of this set, this section is not from the Let It Be sessions, it's from January 4th 1970 when Paul, George and Ringo showed up to record overdubs onto Let It Be. At start, the engineer says, "Rough Remix RS2" which confirms it's from the EMI tape above. So, this Let It Be is definitely rough remix RS2 and is new to bootleg. "Music During Session" is historically significant as it is the only new music from the Beatles last ever session - although John is missing. (This has been heard before (Yellow Dog's "Get Back and 22 other songs")) |
