Detail : George Harrison's ninth album release, and first "Greatest Hits" package.
Credited to George Harrison

With George's E.M.I contract over and no unreleased product remaining, it was time for E.M.I. to re-cycle George's material.
The record company designed this release with side 1 featuring the bulk of George's Beatle output, and side 2 being the biggest hits of George's solo career.
George had already suggested a tracklisting and had even furnished E.M.I. with a title for a "Best Of" package, but this was ignored.
Unfortunately, George took this as an insult, as he believed that his former record company were implying that his solo works had not supplied enough hits, and promptly dis-owned this compilation.

The cover design was by "Cream", with the front cover photograph by Bob Cato and the inner sleeve shot by Michael Putland.
The other side of the inner sleeve has cover photo's and track listings of just four of George's solo releases.

The record label is the black and silver Parlophone label, and was the first solo Beatle album to revert to this classic look.

On the run-out groove on the A-side you can see etched "A NICKY CUT", and on the B-side "NICK W".

Note : I also have an Australian import copy of this release which has a vastly different cover.
In fact, the cover was the reason I bought it ... spacy and original. So I show it below.
This is designed by Roy Kohara and features illustrations by Michael Bryan.
The catalogue number is the same as the U.K. edition, but the record label is orange and black.
Oddly, the last two tracks of side one are reversed.
