Detail : John's eleventh solo album, and first "Greatest Hits" package.
Credited to John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band

Contains all the hit singles up to this date EXCEPT Stand By Me, and yet adds two non-single album tracks.

The cover was designed by Roy Kohara and has some excellent drawings by Michael Bryan to illustrate each song. On the rear of the cover the title Shaved Fish adds the epithet "(Collectable Lennon)". The inner sleeve once again has all the lyrics to each track, although once again E.M.I. gets a few words wrong, including the opening whispers in "Happy Xmas".

An interesting aside ... in New Musical Express of 1st November 1975, Charles Shaar Murray reviewed the album, spotting that Phil Spector did not produce "Cold Turkey" as the sleeve suggested and queried the two non-single tracks, and why certain other favourites were missing.
As was his won't, John replied in person to the journalist and his reply was printed in the N.M.E. of 13th December 1975. John agreed that the producer of "Cold Turkey" was not Spector, saying "There's no echo on it", and that he thought all the tracks were singles except "Imagine". John also apologised for the mistakes in the sleeve, saying that he was unable to keep an eye on E.M.I. because he was "having his baby, as it were".
